About the challenge

Welcome to Clarkathon2025 - Hack Your Hobby, a hackathon where passion meets innovation! Whether you’re into music, fitness, gaming, art, fashion, or photography, this is your chance to turn what you love into what you build. Create a project that enhances, gamifies, or reimagines your favorite hobby using technology. No matter your experience level, this event is about creativity, learning, and having fun while coding something that reflects you.

Get started

  1. Pick a hobby you're passionate about 
  2. Brainstorm how tech could make it more fun, efficient, or social
  3. Form a team or go solo (maximum of 4 members per team)
  4. Build your idea and submit your project before the deadline! (Deadline: 10:00am - Sunday - Nov. 9th)

Mentors will be available throughout the hackathon shall you need any assistance or have any questions.

Requirements

What to Build

Create a project that integrates technology with your personal hobby. This could be:

  • A web or mobile app
  • A hardware prototype
  • A game or creative tool
  • Anything that enhances or reinvents your hobby in a unique way 

Your project should be original, functional (even if partially), and relevant to the Hack Your Hobby theme.

What to Submit

  • A short project description explaining:
    • What inspired your idea
    • How it connects to your hobby
    • What technologies you used
    • What you learned while building it
  • Your GitHub Project Repository
  • Optional: A demo video (2-3 minutes) explaining your project
